Christian Liaigre

Born on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, Frenchman Christian Liaigre grew up contemplating coastal sand, trees, endless beaches, and meditative sunsets. Since childhood, he was absorbing the love for natural materials and a special look at the beauty of textures, as well as a subtle understanding of the class of craft work. Liaigre studied at the Paris Academy of Fine Arts, where he entered at the age of 17, then he taught drawing at the Charpentier Academy. In 1987 he founded his own brand. Generally speaking, the designer is known due to the fact that he designed private residences for such notables as Calvin Klein, Karl Lagerfeld, Rupert Murdoch, and Bryan Adams.

“I like the uncritical joy of being and restrained beauty,” admits Christian Liaigre. “Do not pursue global reorganization. Even a small idea can decorate a house. The main thing is to regularly clean housing. Unnecessary things steal our strength and space. Change the lamps, and you radically update the interior.”
