The Largest Luxury Resort in Africa
Spanning some 3,756 acres across Zanzibar, the Zanzibar Amber Resort is a “luxury tropical community” that will host East Africa’s first signature golf course and deep water marina, its own airport, an aqua park, luxury villas for sale, and five international hotels and over water lodges for guests.
The resort will also include anunderwater restaurantand nightclub, a souk where guests can spend their time shopping, a fully equipped equestrian center, and international polo club, and a facility for superyachts.
Aedas has led the preparation of a masterplan and concept architecture and landscape for large new integrated resort and leisure destination, located in Cairns, Australia.
Aquis Great Barrier Reef Resort
The site is located in an ecologically sensitive area, forming a natural flood plain and retention basin, all set in a pristine estuarine habitat. Built around a man-made lagoon, care has been taken to create a natural habitat whilst also forming an attractive setting to the development. From the two main boulevards, an entry plaza and water feature will greet visitors, which opened up a themed world of lush tropical pools, terraces and event spaces, offering a safe and protective the environment for visitors to relax and play.
Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Nikko
A Ritz-Carlton hotel will open in the resort city of Nikko, north of Tokyo, in the summer of 2020, aiming to attract affluent foreign tourists.
The four-story building with 94 guest rooms, open-air hot spring bath and spa is located by Lake Chuzenji on a 19,000-square-meter site where a hotel run by Tobu Railway was closed in January. The size of a guest room will be at least 50 square meters.
Avani+ Koh Lanta Krabi Resort
Avani Hotels & Resorts has signed two new resort hotels in the southern Thailand resort town of Krabi. The existing resorts will undergo renovations to bring the properties in line with Avani standards which offer guests buzzy social spaces and stylish guestrooms.
